Autosplice offers sub-assembly services with PCBA, terminals, and molding to support your specific industry through one supplier. Flex line approach allows flexibility to support volumes that are less attractive to the big box EMS environments.
AUTOMATION
As a global manufacturer of flexible insertion systems and interconnect components, we offer a full range of automated assembly equipment tailored to meet your manufacturing requirements. From fully automated dual head in-line systems to precision benchtop machines, our quick-change modular systems offer cost-effective, rapid turn solutions for today’s dynamic manufacturing environments.
We have available tooling for solid press-fit, compliant solderless components, PCB, plastic, ceramic and metal substrates. Additionally, all tooling is transferable across the entire range of insertion systems, accommodating future growth needs.
Our systems solutions global support staff and factory trained technicians stand ready to assist you with either machine or component related design or service efforts.
+ CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR MODULE ASSEMBLY
01 / ASSEMBLY OF MULTI-POSITION CONNECTORS
Autosplice provides in-house design, build, assembly, and factory acceptance testing of insertion equipment and automation for fully- and semi-automated assembly of connectors
The housing for this 6-way connector is molded in-house, and the terminals are gang-loaded into the housing, and camera-inspected with a customized in-house automation
The housing for this 90-way connector is molded in-house, and the terminals are stitched into the housing with a customized in-house insertion machine
02 / ASSEMBLY OF ELECTRONIC MODULES WITH INTEGRATED ASSEMBLY
Autosplice provides in-house design, build, assembly, and factory acceptance testing of automation for fully- and semi-automated assembly of insert molded connectors
These radar and microactuator modules are insert molded in-house, and every part is 100% inspected with an in-process automated optical inspection (AOI) system. The press-fit terminals are stamped in house, and the press-fits zone is also 100% inspected with an in-line AOI system
+ AUTOMATED INSPECTION CELLS
Inspection, functional testing and part-marking within an integrated machine or cell, incorporating a one-piece-flow approach and data collection and analysis capability within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
01 / CAMERA-BASED INSPECTION
High-speed camera systems, with telecentriclenses, high-speed PLC’s, integrated part datum finders, and servo drives
02 / HIGH-POT TESTING
High-potential testing ensures that there is no electrical shorting between terminal pairs
03 / CONTINUITY TESTING
Continuity testing provides assurance of electrical continuity between from connector end to PCB end
04 / PART MARKING
Automated marking allows for part traceability and confirmation that part has been 100% inspected
05 / FUNCTIONAL TESTING
Functional testing includes pressure decay testing for sealing performance, in-line gauging, etc.
+ CUSTOM AUTOMATION FOR HANDLING AUTOSPLICE PRODUCTS
Design, development, fabrication, assembly, and debugging of custom automation for connector and terminal handling, assembly, and packaging
01 / COMPONENT HANDLING FEEDERS
02 / TAPE-AND-REEL SYSTEMS
03 / SMA WIRE CRIMPING AND ASSEMBLY MACHINES
04 / INSERTION MACHINE HEADS
05 / POTTING & CONFORMAL COATING
06 / LEAK TESTING TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS
